Jordan Woody is an Employment Associate at Carter Arnett. Jordan has experience in defending employers in employment litigation from the administrative phase through litigation. Jordan has defended clients through resolution of the administrative process with the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC), Texas Workforce Commission (TWC), National Labor Relations Board (NLRB), and Department of Labor (DOL). Jordan also represents clients in federal and state court litigation arising out claims under the Americans with Disabilities Act of 1967 (ADA), Age Discrimination in Employment Act (ADEA), Pregnancy Discrimination Act, Equal Pay Act, Title VII of the Civil Rights Act of 1964 (Title VII), National Labor Relations Act (NLRA), Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA), Texas Pay Day Act, Texas Labor Code, Fair Housing Act and city ordinances regarding discrimination and fair housing.
Jordan also regularly advises clients regarding compliance with employment, labor, and anti-discrimination statutes, conducts internal investigations and reviews, and prepares policies and procedures for employers.
Prior to joining Carter Arnett, Jordan was in house counsel for an employment agency called Pinnacle Group, and was a prosecutor in the family violence division of the Dallas County District Attorney’s Office.
