Alison Basta is an Associate at Carter Arnett. Alison focuses her practice on commercial litigation, employment law, and intellectual property matters. Alison represents clients in a wide range of commercial disputes including breach of contract, breach of fiduciary duty, breach of covenants not to compete, and other business torts. Alison also has experience in employment disputes concerning claims asserted under Title VII of the Civil Rights Act, the Americans with Disabilities Act, Age Discrimination in Employment Act, Family Medical Leave Act, Pregnancy Discrimination Act, Pregnant Workers Fairness Act, 42 U.S.C. § 1981, and Texas Labor Code.
Prior to joining Carter Arnett, Alison served as a Law Clerk to the Honorable Aileen Goldman Durrett, U.S. Magistrate Judge in the Eastern District of Texas. During her clerkship, Alison was exposed to complex commercial, civil, and criminal litigation, gaining valuable insight into federal court practice and procedure.
