Nichol John is an Associate at Carter Arnett, where she focuses her practice on commercial litigation, employment law, and intellectual property matters. Nichol represents clients in a broad range of commercial disputes including breach of contract, breach of fiduciary duty, breach of covenants not to compete, and other business torts. Nichol has also resolved employment disputes concerning claims asserted under Title VII of the Civil Rights Act, the Americans with Disabilities Act, Age Discrimination in Employment Act, Family Medical Leave Act, Pregnancy Discrimination Act, Pregnant Workers Fairness Act, 42 U.S.C. § 1981, and Texas Labor Code.
Nichol is also a registered patent attorney and has experience handling intellectual property matters. Prior to joining Carter Arnett, she practiced at a litigation firm, where she represented clients in cases involving construction defects, breach of contract, personal injury, premises liability, and Dram Shop violations. Nichol also served as a judicial extern to Magistrate Judge Frances H. Stacy at the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Texas.
