Tyler Thomas is an Associate at Carter Arnett whose practice focuses on commercial litigation, employment, and intellectual property matters. Before joining the firm, Tyler developed broad commercial litigation experience across all phases of a dispute from early strategy and risk assessment through trial and appeal. His litigation work spans a wide range of contractual disputes, including complex asset-purchase agreements and project-level matters involving emerging residential developments.
Beyond litigation, Tyler has advised founders on business formation and operations, assisting in the creation of more than 15 start-up companies. That work has included drafting formation documents and commercial agreements and providing practical guidance to early-stage businesses. Tyler also served as a research assistant to Professor Samuel Thompson — a nationally recognized mergers and acquisitions scholar — at Penn State Law. Prior to law school, he spent a year in the start-up technology sector in Tulsa, Oklahoma, deepening his understanding of the operational and legal challenges that growing companies face.
