Carter Arnett is now Carter Arnett Bennett & Perez

Dallas, Texas. March 1, 2024. With great pleasure, Carter Arnett announces that effective immediately, the firm will now be known as Carter Arnett Bennett & Perez. The firm’s name change marks the addition of Joshua J. Bennett and Courtney Barksdale Perez as named partners of the firm. Bennett and Perez joined the firm following federal clerkships and early years spent at international law firms. Both partners have been dedicated members of the firm since its inception in 2012 and have been integral to the firm’s notable trial and appellate victories.

“We are incredibly proud and excited for this new chapter of our firm. Joshua and Courtney are outstanding trial lawyers, and both embody the attributes of excellence and top-notch client service that we hold dear to the fabric of our firm,” said founding partner E. Leon Carter.

The promotion recognizes Bennett’s and Perez’s ongoing contributions to the firm, with Bennett leading the firm’s commercial and intellectual property practice groups, and Perez heading up the firm’s employment litigation practice.

“It has been a great honor to contribute to the reputation our firm has built over the past decade,” said Perez. “I look forward to continuing to work alongside Leon, Bob and Josh to serve the needs of our clients as we have done for many years and will do for many years to come.”

Joshua Bennett expressed similar sentiments: “When I was hired as the Firm’s first associate, I was happy to advance the brand and reputation for excellence that Leon and Bob had already built. I’m proud to add my name to theirs and prouder of the work we do together for clients in continuing the pursuit of justice and the rule of law.”

Carter Arnett Bennett & Perez is a nationally recognized trial boutique that represents clients in various industries in a full range of litigation matters in state and federal courts across the United States and before the United States Patent and Trademark Office.
